Green Levy In March of 2007 the government implemented a new system for charging Excise tax on vehicles with low gas mileage. The previous system used the weight of the vehicle to determine the excise tax. The new system is based on the number of liters used per 100 km. The Excise Tax will be in increments of $1000.00.
